WIDEWELL PLANTATION
Recently opened to the public by the kind courtesy of Ed & Jane Welch, Widewell Plantation is an ancient 8 acre wood where people can enjoy the wildlife, exercise their dogs and visit the viewing point overlooking Start Bay. Best approached by parking in the public car park adjacent to the Church House Inn, Stokenham and walking up the lane across the main road. The "stile" entrance is the first on the left and the main entrance further up the lane, past Mattiscombe cottage. Please take care as the woodland walks are steep in places.
